Vacancy Organist/Choir Leader

St Mary’s Church Rushden are seeking an organist/choir leader to replace our present one who is retiring after many years. The post would involve playing for the 11.15 am Sunday service and major festivals and leading an experienced choir of 16 members in a practice once a week. The morning service is a form of Morning Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer with hymns and two canticles. Once a month it is replaced by a Communion Service from Common Worship, with a simple setting and hymns. There is opportunity to include anthems in the worship, particularly on special occasions. It would be expected that the successful applicant would play the organ for the weddings and funerals held in church. Fees for services and practices to be discussed, fees for weddings and funerals will be in addition to this.
