The FoSM were delighted to present their first Pudding Club event on Saturday 28th November. Members and guests sat down to sample no less than seven wonderful, home made traditional puddings, including Rice Pudding, Spotted Dick, Ginger and Marmalade, Bakewell Pudding (or tart), Bread and Butter Pudding, but the clear overall winner was the Steamed Syrup Pudding.
The evening was hosted by The Pudding Master (John Allen) with an explanation of how the original Pudding Club came into being and a brief run down on each of the puds on offer. When everyone had eaten their fill we were treated to a cookery demonstion by Carol - who cooked a microwaved 'steamed syrup sponge' in just 3 minutes!
